VI Journey

Privacy Policy

Effective September 16, 2026

This policy describes how Exotic Guinea Pig Productions LLC handles information for VI Journey and its ChatGPT integration.

The RC11 Mac App Store release offers Core manual editing. Media, sampled contact sheets, annotations, buckets, timelines, and exports stay in your local project. Vibe and Studio connected services are not offered in this release. Account sign-in and purchase verification use the hosted service; Core editing does not require ChatGPT or a subscription.

RC12 adds optional Conversation Preview in Core and Studio for accounts with verified connected access. New Vibe and Studio subscription sales remain disabled in this candidate. VI Journey access and OpenAI sign-in are separate; VI Journey access does not include OpenAI usage.

Conversation Preview

When you use Conversation in Core or Studio, your messages, relevant current project context and requested tool results are sent to OpenAI through the bundled Codex runtime. This may include project and asset names, creator notes and confirmed identities, selected ranges, music direction, timeline information and requested evidence images. Review your project information before using connected conversation. Do not put passwords, payment details or unnecessary sensitive information in creator notes.

Conversation history and the OpenAI runtime's session data are saved in VI Journey's application profile on your Mac so you can resume work. Disconnecting does not erase saved history. Core and Studio keep histories scoped to their respective projects and share the application's OpenAI sign-in. OpenAI processing and usage are subject to the terms and settings applicable to your OpenAI account. Preview uses an experimental connection; its availability and behavior may change, and the Preview label does not imply OpenAI approval or production support. Review proposed edits before accepting them.

Information we handle

VI Journey may process account and authentication identifiers, project identifiers, creator annotations and selections, derived project evidence, timeline and render state, device-sync commands, entitlement records, short-lived review images, and limited security and operational logs. Raw source media and local file paths remain on the creator's device unless the creator separately chooses to upload or share them.

How we use information

We use this information only to authenticate users, provide creator-directed editing and synchronization, protect the service, troubleshoot support requests, and operate account entitlements. We do not sell personal information or use project data for advertising.

Sharing and service providers

Information may be processed by service providers needed to operate VI Journey, including OpenAI/ChatGPT, Auth0, Render and its database infrastructure, and Stripe when billing is enabled. We disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.

Local exports and connected evidence

Local Core exports and the internal evidence archive serve different purposes. The connected interface does not offer the exhaustive internal evidence archive as a bulk download. When you use connected features, selected descriptions, contact sheets, annotations, and authorized review material may be provided to ChatGPT in a form it can use. Encryption does not make that selected information invisible to the receiving service. ChatGPT history is not a guaranteed backup of your project.

Billing information

Apple handles Mac App Store payments. VI Journey verifies Apple transaction identifiers, signed purchase records, product identifiers, account tokens, and purchase or revocation status to activate and restore Core on your Mac. VI Journey does not receive your payment-card details from Apple. These records are used for app functionality, not advertising or tracking.

Stripe processes payment information. VI Journey uses customer, purchase, and subscription identifiers and payment status to operate licenses and subscriptions. Do not send card details to our support email. Canceling a subscription does not delete locally stored media or end an otherwise valid Core license.

Retention and deletion

Short-lived review images expire within 15 minutes. Acknowledged device commands are retained for recovery for no more than seven days. Active project records remain available while the account or project is active. After a verified deletion request, protected project records are removed from active systems within seven days; residual backups and security logs expire within 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law or needed to investigate fraud or abuse.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of hosted information by emailing exoticguineapig.productions@gmail.com. We may ask you to verify account ownership before fulfilling a request.

Security and changes

We use access controls, encryption, bounded data transfers, and operational safeguards designed to protect hosted information. No system is completely secure. Material policy updates will be posted here with a revised effective date.
